What we sell

First Business Steps sells digital guides and documents. All products are delivered electronically and made available immediately on confirmed payment. No physical goods are shipped.

Your statutory rights - digital content

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase. However, for digital content not supplied on a physical medium, that right to cancel is lost once the content has been made available to you, provided you have acknowledged this before purchase.

By completing your purchase on this site you confirm that delivery of the digital content should begin immediately and that you understand this means your statutory right to cancel will not apply once the content is available to you.

When we will issue a refund

We will issue a full refund if:

  • Your purchase was not delivered - you completed payment but the product was not made available in your account within a reasonable time.
  • The product is materially different from its description on the product page.
  • A technical fault on our side prevented you from accessing the content.

When we will not issue a refund

  • Change of mind after the digital content has been accessed.
  • You no longer need the product or your circumstances have changed.
  • You disagree with the guidance or find it does not apply to your specific situation - our products are structured guidance tools, not personalised professional advice, and this is clearly stated before purchase.

How to request a refund

Email us at hello@firstbusinesssteps.com within 14 days of your purchase date. Please include:

  • The email address used when purchasing
  • The product name
  • A brief description of the issue

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card provider.
